The InterAct Company was revived in 2025, since its sabbatical during the COVID pandemic. The scope of opportunities that the company could provide was something the faculty and students alike could not let sit on a shelf to collect dust.

The Company is led by a student committee as an extension of the Theatre Department, providing further opportunity for students to gain experience in the field and foster their creative passions.

We urge students to breach their comfort zone and create daring and experimental art. We aim to provide a chance for students to learn outside of the course boundaries, whether that be directing your own large-scale production, leading experimental workshops, or the many opportunities for performance and behind the scenes roles. We encourage involvement from those that have never been involved in productions, allowing them to gain confidence and take risks in their work through an accessible source.

The Committee are passionate about the Company’s mission and have many exciting opportunities coming up this academic year (2027) such as productions, workshops, and talks from professionals. In an age where the arts are progressively defunded and unrecognised, we aspire to keep the theatrical world of burning passions and risk-taking art alive.
